I like coyotes too but, wolves are my favorite. The coyotes and wolves do have one thing in common, they both have a hell of alot more teeth than your average family in essex!

Very true, Howdy, but there's no rhyme nor reason to paranoia. Listening to some of them Essex folk, you'd swear they regularly lose whole families to coyotes over there..

Pumas and mountain lions are the same thing, at least in North America. In fact, Puma is the genus to which mountain lions belong.

What's the difference between a mountain lion and a puma? Someone in Manchester told me that his vet thought his cat had been attacked by a puma.

I know, H. Coyotes loathe humans and only make a raid when really hungry or mating. About half the year. Why I have no pets.

Being capable and having the want to do so are two different things. Very few examples of healthy wolves or coyotes attacking humans. You wouldn't want mountain lions in the area tho.

Yes, but what pissed me off is pawning the freak occurrence off to a wolf pet on the run. Wolves have intermixed with coyotes for years, so we now have Super Coyotes, capable of taking down a small child.

Anyone catch that a wolf was killed in shelburne Ma recently. I find it kind of sad that this animal met its demise but its exciting to know that one of mother natures most beautiful creatures maybe nearby. This was the first documented sighting in mass in over 75 years. A handful of sightings have occurred in northern new england over the years. Most likely Algonquin wolves from Canada slipping down into the states.
