If everyone just disposed of their trash properly in the first place, there would be no need for picking up after the Pigs.

Littering is a sore spot with me because there is absolutely NO excuse for it.

If you put your trash barrel out, cover it up. If it gets knocked over, clean it up. If you have trash in your car, KEEP it in your car until there's so much of it you can't stand it and THEN put in your own barrel!

People litter like they have a right to....

By the way, those who do pick up trash and litter, have done a wonderful job in our center city downtown, currently on 4/9, as clean as a whistle. THANK YOU. ~ ~ oak

If we could get a rainless weekend, I would pick up Moorland Road myself, it would be good exercise. Hmmm... I don't remember seeing those cups there since last spring, thats pathetic, I will pick them up

Picked up Witham St. a few years ago with my kids. I got poison ivy on my face and had to take steriods, and within a month it was as bad as ever on the street. Litter from beach goers, Amelias, Dunkin Donuts, you name it.

Moorland Rd would be a great place for a web cam....film the pigs ..track them down and then make them clean the city for community service....it's hard to believe how many "nip" bottles are thrown out along that rd..

If you ask, the DPW will give you free yellow trash bags that are picked up, when filled up with trash for no charge by the DPW. Just put them in a visible spot on the side of the road. Last Saturday there was a scheduled pick up of downtown with a second one scheduled in a couple of weeks. Gloucester is very large, spread wide and far, and cannot possibly be picked up on one scheduled day. Moorland Road is a complete dump thanks to pigs that think its ok to litter. Here's an Idea...

Everyone who can, bring a trash bag to a Central location,. and get a free trash Sticker, .. Take that Trash Bag, and walk along your own road, and pick up the trash on the side of it...

Better yet, just be a nice person and do this on your own...

It's a touchy subject. And the business serves so many so well. They've improved the menu internationally, adding more fruits and vegetables. In the am, you can get plain biscuits, w/o the sausage, or butter, or other dairy products. Just plain. McD's was one of the first which bought Gloucester's frozen fish, back in the 70's, when the fish sandwiches started to come as a big seller, providing 100's of jobs in and around the Rogers St. seafood center, and for lumpers...

Who are they? Why is the largest pkg lot there, a mess, on its eastern side, near the RR tracks? A gang of seagulls, aided sometimes by a guy who rips the red plastic tops off of the trash containers, yanks out the paper bags of food, and paper litter, inside and throws them on the asphalt pkg lot surface, where the mauraders wait to attack, en masse. Once the gulls get their fill, they don''t pick up after themselves, surprise, surprise,
