I'm giving Wang credit.

In fact, before the relatively recent successes of the Sox, my complimentary posts or those giving credit to specific Sox members often resulted in a personal attack upon me and a diatribe about the Yankees. In fact, I seldom, if ever, make comments about baseball here. But Wang is *special*--and the conditions deplorable. I felt that, since you fans weren't bellying up to graciously give credit, I would....

True - but I'm a true Bruins fan - they have sucked for a long time, yet I watch almost every game each season - and hope.

Yeah, the Sox lost tonight (saw that game too), but it's way too early in the season to care (even if it were the hated Yankees).

Frosty - I feel badly about the hockey situation - BUT if Bruins come back big time, decks will clear for them in same way it has for Sox and Pats. It's called pecking order...inherent in all species.

BTW - speaking of winnahs - Sox not in that category tonight against Yanks.

While I heartily agree with Bill Buckner getting an enthusiastic greeting, sports are definitely fickle. Ten years ago, few to none watched baseball - now that the Sox won a couple times, everyone's a fan. Poor NHL is in the Stanley Cup Finals (not the first irrelevant games like the Red Sox) and can't even get a regular channel to broadcast. 20 years ago it was basketball and hockey - our baseball and football teams sucked. Now it's flipped, so everyone jumps on the bandwagon...

Heard something about the new Yankee Stadium being under a "curse" because they buried a Red Sox shirt under the locker room? Pretty funny. Glad someone has a sense of humor. Bwahahahahaaa.

Yeah, poor Papi. This sucks. He's always a slow starter, but this is ridiculous. That off-season surgery on the knee sounds like some of the problem. The reports were of ice packs yesterday on that knee.

And poor Mike Lowell. But Youk is on fire already.
