leaving next year to go to private schools. Many, many families with long standing ties to the PTO and public school. Why, Night? Why would they leave if
things are just fine? However, this will offer the perception that things are better at Beeman &amp; Plum with respect to class size. So be it. Fewer kids are

			<description><![CDATA[ global - does within 1 mile count??? 3 kids in my home have been put through the Gloucester Schools and have good jobs now (not here of course). 2 have college
degrees. I had nothing bad to say about their education here as well as the schools they attended (Beeman, Fuller, O&#39;Maley &amp; GHS) ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ I am worried about the same things as Capt. Joe. I think we must make every effort to maintain infrastructure and provide support so that we can further
concentrate whatever is left by the regulators here in Gloucester. We can already see that as other ports shut down on the North Shore boats are coming here.
We are getting some from Maine. It is hurting but it is an ideal industry for Gloucester. We have a shallow and small harbor for serious merchant ship activity
but perfect for fishing... ]]></description>

There are a handful of good fishermen in their 40s

There are even fewer in their 30s

A majority of what I would call the last big generation of fishermen are in their 50s and there isn&#39;t a big crop of guys behind them with knowledge or
capital or both to go fishing. So in 10 years or so I think it&#39;s going to be really scary.

			<description><![CDATA[ Commercial fishing has to be the most over regulated industry in the world. What the bureaucrats don&#39;t destroy $4.50 per gallon fuel certainly will.

Spoke to a friend who has been a lobsterman out of Rockport for over thirty years. He is placing his house on the market and moving North. Rockport property
taxes are brutal but the cost of fuel to run his boat is what&#39;s killing him. He&#39;s glad his kids decided not to go into the business. Very sad. ]]></description>

extracted intact, but a little dinged up.

We have a federal agency determined to put fish stock recovery at the top of their agenda and indeed if there are no fishermen there are no NMFS jobs. They
have a nest of environmentals nipping at heir heels to make sure of that. Their approach may verge on insanity, but I think the stocks are likely to recover,
as they are doing.

single family housing in traditional houses with yards as feasible without subsidy in an expensive area like Riverdale on the Mill River any longer. The ones
built beside the church there were subsidized. Others are multifamily. In plan 2000 which became 2001 we encouraged more housing downtown, particularly above
