Funny how certain childhood traumas can affect us well into adulthood and even to the grave. I used to hate dogs after being chased and attacked by one as a teenager. I eventually learned that it was my bad attitude causing me all that pain and I had to let it go. Now I love dogs as much as cats. I still don't trust pit bulls, however.

Touche Ck, very good! It probably would have not been a bad thing if my mom gave the cat more attention than me, you know how those Italian mothers are, overbearing at times as you can imagine. I recall her telling me in the middle of August to bring a jacket when I went out in case it got cold out. Gotta love mothers like that but.......man.

Just making a statement Eve, on the flip side I am a big dog lover, but cats are a big turn off for me. Hopefully, some of the breed rescue folks will be able to help out. They usually have a pretty well organized network for placement. Gads. For some people it will be quite attractive I'd imagine. I've never owned a pure bred cat nor do I think I'd be interested unless it came to me in the same way all the furpersons have.....as strays in need.

So nice of you to share, Par. Was there some reason why you felt compelled to add that comment? Gads.

As a side note, I got my German Shepherd at the Methuen MSPCA, and they are fabulous people there....

METHUEN - Many of these exotic felines can easily run you $600 to $1,000.

But for a limited time, dozens of Sphynxes, Himalayans, Munchkins, Devon Rexes, Ragdolls and Siamese are at Nevins Farm for a mere $125 adoption fee.
