GoO your statement about successful artists usually not being known as nice people, sparked my thinking.....i'm reading Chuck Negron's 2nd book Three Dog Nightmare Part II and i have to say by the guys own words he was a total asshole when he was with the other guys. i,ve seen him a couple times at Mohegan in the last few years and although i still love Three Dog Night tunes...he is still an arrogant...

Yep -- recording shows means I can watch a 60-minute show from commercial tee vee in about 40 minutes.

Doesn't work that way for PBS, though... those bastids!

Supposedly next year, they are going to start with the Top 24 and weave the audition tapes into the shows. I also was bored with the auditions piece and then forgot to tune in until they were at the top 24. I also NEVER watch anything live except the 6:00 news.

I'll probably not watch it. I found the audition phase grating at best, and my main interest was to see how a certain someone fared.

But, mostly, I really don't watch much tee vee, and having to remember to tape a show is annoying. (I rarely watch live.)

I did like Amanda for some time. Then I just got tired of the yelling, Janis bad imitation. And the look got on my nerves. I am not sure but David Cook's look does not offend me at all. Leftie...did you only begin to watch because you knew someone? Will you watch again next season?

the only time I watch Idol is the first competitions, I have not seen anything past that. Quite amusing watching people make fools out of themselves knowing they cant sing for shit but want to be on tv. Great entertainment I think, once they whittle those people out I don't think it's worth watching.

The mom in me wants to take that sweet David Archilleda to a safe place far from the limelight. There is a fragility in his demeanor that worries me. Before the stories even came out his father made me cringe.

my favorites are gone, Brook and Jason, but it wasnt the show "Dont forget the Lyrics" - Both of them were origional and claimed their own faces.... I dont think anybody of the bottom 10 is or was worthy of the idol title, and once they gain it I dont think their success will quadruple .
