I have a bunch of portraits of my children, myself, and my husband... (that's in the Family Room)
I also have a large painting of Geraniums by some local artist up here.. (In my Living Room) There is a Huge landscape set picture of Rangeley Lake taken from the top of Bald Mountain (in my office) |

I think you may have the decor of the Backwoods of Maine confused with the Decor of Someplace Southern, and an Elvis fan.. Maine Decor has many natural colors, such as Hunter green, Navy, Cranberry, Mustard... and lots of wood, and perhaps some dead animals on the wall... I can't say I have ever been in a home with a Velvet Elvis, or any other thing painting on it.... and believe me, I know some Elvis FANATICS. Dead Animals and lots of knotty pine,, yes... Even I have lots of knotty pine in my house... |

The couch in my family room is a sectional, and has 2 walls...
So the other wall, is my Cape Ann Wall, and I have a couple of framed prints of Maggie Coyle Rosa's..(one of the Statue, one of the Stage Fort end of the Boulevard) signed and numbered, an original watercolor that my mommy in law did of a dragger over near Rocky Neck, Another Print of a small wooden dory, by Tom Millko, and a model of "The Columbia" that my step Grandfather in law made for Mr Zanny. Please keep in mind my Family Room used to be a 2 car garage, so I really need all of this stuff on the walls to make it look like a room, not a garage.... and yes, it's all Knotty Pine too!! |
