That was the episode this morning at 6:00am. I always thought it to be one of my favorites. Am I getting old or what? Puerile from start to finish.
And yesterday, that was the one where Kirk and company found themselves dueling as Roman gladiators. Kirk ran into Merrick, that had been dismissed in the
fifth year at the academy for unstarlike character...
Yeah, Merrick beamed his men down a few at a time to serve the needs of the pro-consul for fights to the death. But Kirk left the whole damned planet no better than before...and good guy Flavius was killled to boot. The last scene is when the Enterprise takes off with everybody smiling. I always thought the show was better than that.....but I'm really having my doubts.
