I know Oak, Frosty and a few others here love Tortola. Get a load of these incredible waves in Cane Garden Bay a couple of weeks ago. I've never seen
anything like these down there. It looks like Hawaii.

WOW!!
I was talking to a friend of ours today, and he was asking if we wanted to go to St Marten in the fall with them.. we might... But now, I am focused on 23 more days until I am on Sanibel Island!!! and 18 until I am Home on Cape Ann |

There was a huge Atlantic storm that sent major swells that way a couple of weeks ago. Wrecked a lot of coral and caused some coastal flooding throughout the
region.

99- I can't even START to pack!! I am in a competition up here called "Rangeley's Biggest Loser", and I am trying my best to lose weight,
gain muscle.. etc...
When I saw you, I was a size 14.... Now, I am a size 10!! and I keep getting smaller... SO... in light of that, this weekend, Mr Zanny is taking me Shopping this weekend, in North Conway, and I am going to get my new summer wardrobe then.. and I have a few gift cards I need to cash in a few local stores here... I need new Vera Bradley stuff...like, the Super Tote, the Large Duffel, maybe a newer purse... I don't know! |

I replied last evening to your Tortola thread, Agent 99, but my post is not there this am?? I posted that folks there are anchored fore and aft due to the
swells, not far from Cane Garden Bay. But my post is not there this am?? They say it's still the best vacation they've ever had. Next year for me
again.

I have made it a personal rule to get to the gym at least 5 days a week, and torch off 350 calories on the elliptical.. I also have an upper an lower body work out to do as well.. and then, in the evenings, I sometimes get on my bike for 20 minutes... Nothing like a little competition to get me moving!! |

Hate this icy cold wet rain, but am grateful for it filling up the reservoirs and giving the forests, lawns gardens a good long soaking. Will serve us well
later on. The weather reports, keep promising sunnier, warmer weather. But I got chilled to the bone, earlier, when out in the car. Wish I'd had another
layer on, under the first 2, this am.

I'm trying to picture those waves on the beach which is not that deep. Unless they were way off shore that surf must have obliterated the beach and crashed right through Quito's and up over the road. I haven't heard any reports of damage, so maybe they were far enough out. What a show that must have been. I once stayed at a hotel on that beach which was destroyed in a hurricane - I love that beach! And Quito's was a nightly 'must'. I wish I were there right now, sipping a Pina Colada at the beach! |
