I don't know what to make of it. I get all my stock from Timberline because of the shabby way the B.C did some things. Incomplete orders with a shrug of
the shoulders. "I dunno". Then waiting days to get them to come back with what was ordered days in advance. Timberline never missed a beat.

ain't so. If it is....the new owners may well be in trouble. My guess would be that it would be a "merge" of sorts?
Isn't Mike pretty young to be retiring??? |

If it is someone who works at the BC, I would not assume that they expect to remain with the BC. The BC owners seem unlikely to buy another business in
Gloucester and surely some people who work there would want to go into business for themselves.

Heard the sale is NOT a done deal at a Cruiseport event this evening. I can tell you one thing... My fam and extended fam will not support the new owner of the
Timberline. He is just the same old, same old shmoe from the BC. Home Depot...here we come. Mike P. We will miss you tons!

If Timberline is about to be absorbed by one of the Building Center henchmen and become Son of the B.C., it'll become another hole-in-the-wall overpriced

New update. Mike P. is staying on to work with them. IMO, it is the only way the Costello kid can make it work. People just do not like the BC crew.
Someone said that he has enormous plans for the place. Huge expansion, new product lines, new areas of development. And Mike retained the land so it will be good for him. |

Maybe this young man is trying to give the Building Center competition, rather than turn it into a BC annex, etc.
Jumping to the conclusion that it will be the same is unfair to the new guy. Give him a chance and assume it has nothing to do with the Building Center. |
