Huh?
To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.-Theodore Roosevelt, The Kansas City Star, May 7, 1918 |

Teddy was on the right track, though "treason" for expressing an opinion in our democracy was a bit overboard, to say the least.

You have it backwards, Oak -- Teddy was calling the right-wing attempt to squelch negative opinions of the Prez "morally treasonable," which it is.

Leave her alone. She's still back there trying to figure out how I blamed the good Sisters of Indiana for not having proper voting IDs. She'll catch
up soon enough.

Wingnut, on your --Pundant tread, it was the only tread flashing a menu as I hovered over it. Thought ya had some good trick going. I don't do politics so
I didn't read it. Good Trick ole boy!

Umm. Does anybody know what this thread is about?

Kinda, oldhip - see Muffin's last post...he thought LWN was performing a cyber trick on his pundit post and was looking for other cyber tricks, I
think...........
Don't walk in front of me, I don't follow. Don't walk behind
me, I don't lead.

How's I see it .... when you hover over a thread link, there's a pop-up thingie that shows a preview .... a line or two of the OP. Renders a little
differently in FF and IE ... like much bigger boxes in IE. The pundit post was a copy and paste job .... hovering brings up a kinda bigger preview thing. ...
'specially in IE.
So maybe that's what muffy was talkin' about, maybe not. But it was more fun not trying to figger it out, just goin' with it ... like a lot of things ... |

Nice extrapolation, Rox, but your're good at that.

Muffin spelled it out in his own inimitable style quite succinctly...not necessary to figure anything out. Once again, "hover" the word of the hour!
Don't walk in front of me, I don't follow. Don't walk behind
me, I don't lead.

Hover works for so many situations.

Don't it, tho. Great word! A welcome rediscovery...

me, I don't lead.

I have no idea what he means by my "pundant" posting...

Pundit----------spelling error----As in I don't due politics---Flashy post compared to the other pop-up previous on the other tread LWN.
