I thought I would like to share a few of my thoughts on City Hall. So here we go Third Floor keep it as it is used now. Second Floor . If Personel director leaves , move staff up . After All Karen Burdow handled it well in her time. Replace personel Directors office with Payroll Office , and move the Employee's Break Room which is next to the once filled espestos Sealer of Weights room to that location. On the Main Floor. The City needs to bring back the Parking Clerk. I am sure with his personality and proffessionalisim he will add to the city coffers. Leave the City Auditors Office and Treasurer Collectors Office as is . If anybody retires or leaves promote within not without. City Clerks Office . Bob Whynott has done a tremendous job and should be respected as such. For a person to have to sit in this size office is an insult. I would invite anybody to see for themselves and I am not speaking on his behalf. Again as staff retire , promote within not without. Legal Department I really do not know much about , although I must admit this area is a maze.Now traveling down the basement we have the Accessors office , Leave it as it is , but I would strongly suggest that the City needs to return Joe Parisi to his past position . The Credit Union I highly comment them for the service they do for its members. Finally at the other spectrum we arrive at first The Purchasing Department . If indeed Everett's Way is Vacated , I highly suggest that staff be promoted within. Lastly we come to Archives this is the most cramped quarters that the city could provide for people doing a huge and free service to their city . There has got to be someway that they could be re-located to a better envirometal location that would be suitable for their research and studies , as well as a safe place that will keep our records of time in memmorial for all future of Gloucester's Citizin's to see and read . A little bit of history on this location . It was in the fifties that people would be lined up in droves waiting for their shots , or in smaller lines waiting to see the City Dentist.
