Cheap Shot at Obama |
Lead | |
|
His middle name is "Hussein," a name given him in infancy. A newscaster called him Barack Hussein Obama yesterday, but denies it was his error, to
highlight the Hussein part of Obama's name. The Obama campaign claimed it came from Hillary's campaign, to identify him as a Muslim terrorist, which
both Clintons vehemently denied. Dirty pool all around, as more primaries occur on Sat. The primary system among major delegates, Dem., Repub., and
independent, liberal, conservatieve are, imo, completely out of control and miles away from what the average American voter, can process and fully understand.
Will be interested to read your opinions.

His middle name IS Hussein. Has the American public become so dreadfully dumb they can't distinguish Obama from Saddam?
Stop this childish BS. Let's discuss REAL issues, please! |

That's politics, much as we hate to see it. But I wouldn't be quick to assume all of it comes from the Clinton campaign. The GOP has been in full swing
for weeks already. For example, someone just mentioned this a.m. that they did some sleuthing and found the origins of the use of that "picture" of
Obama being used and attributed to the Clinton campaign as having originated with the Freepers.
The best course to me is to ignore all the crap and stick to the issues. Dirty tricks only work if people choose to give it credence. |

I say.... You can't help your middle name....
and if there is going to be a Democrat for a President, and it looks like we are going to have a Democrat... Let it be Obama over Clinton.. She should just hang it all up right now, and get out of the race... If SHE gets the nomination... we are going to have a Republican President If Obama gets the nomination... then he is going to be President I've accepted that |

Not even worth discussing IMO. Only a low IQ individual would be affected by the middle name reference or photo of someone in an indigenous outfit. BFD, as
someone else pointed out, this is politics as usual. Move on, stick to the issues, don't flame this shit by reprinting it.

I love how Hillary keeps getting blamed for things perpetrated by right-wing talking heads.
Oak, I think that was the "journalist" who introduced John McCain at a recent speech who kept harping on the Hussein. McCain pretty much apologized for the whole thing. Funny thing is that "liberals" are so often getting castigated for calling right-wing voters "stupid." What does it say that the right-wing talking heads believe that those same voters will fall for a tactic like that. What does it say that they probably will. Just watched it again, and it came from McCain's campaign, not Hillary's A talk show host named Cunningham, brought it up on his radio show. And McCain
picked up on it, obvioulsy trying to drive a wedge between Hillary and Obama. Mc Cain wants to stay another decade or 2 in Iraq, keeping the war based economy,
and he's playing to working minorities, of color, before the Texas and Ohio primaries on Sat, March 4. Disappointed in McCain's tactic there, trying to
make Obama look like a tool in the 9/11/01 horror show. THAT is disgusting!

WTF are you talking about? McCain was told about Cunningham's remarks and came out and apologized. Read about the story before post foolish remarks.
Here's a clip from the story on CNN.
from CNN --McCain, who was not onstage as Cunningham spoke, said he was told about the "disparaging remarks." "I absolutely repudiate such comments, and again I will take responsibility -- it will never happen again. It will never happen again," he said And now you go on to post this: "McCain's tactic there, trying to make Obama look like a tool in the 9/11/01 horror show." Explain that further, what in gawds name are you talking about? How does 9/11 even play remotely into this "story"?????? |

So what if he has Muslim or Arabic heritage? The point here is much greater than dirty politics. We should be asking ourselves why people feel threatened by
Muslims in the first place. This is shameful.

A newscaster called him Barack Hussein Obama yesterday, but denies it was his error, to highlight the Hussein part of Obama's name.Jay Severin has been playing that game for over a year now. Every time he mentions Obama (whom he hates) he says "Barack HUSSEIN Obama" and often repeats Hussein just for emphasis. But Severin is an idiot so who cares?

I don't know, maybe because there is a quite active minority of Muslims who have declared a jihad on non-Muslims (America and Israel mostly) and commit unprovoked terrorist acts upon innocent civilians. We all know the majority of Muslims are not terrorists but sometimes it only takes a few extreme acts of violence to make us feel threatened by a larger group. I am not threatened by Methodists. Maybe because I feel quite confident that they are highly unlikely to snatch a Catholic off the street and behead then

No I'm not heavy into politics but one thing is painfully clear...Obama has the American public fooled! He says he has a plan a new direction for the
country but what is it? He's been asked that question many times but gives no substance, only the run around! Next time you get a chance to listen to
him...it's only "ear candy"!

Article in Boston Globe speculated that, if election took place today, McCain would beat either Obama or Hilary, but variance would be greater if Hilary was
his opponent. For what it's worth, which is next to nothing!

The name "Hussein" in that culture is like the name "Joe" or "John" in ours. It's not a big deal.
