Well looks like we have some shady building repair people here in Gloucester also.Has anyone else here had any bad dealings with there home carpenters? You were quoted a price and then the job was not done as expected.Only that it looks like it has ,but check underneath all that exterior work and find that it was not done the way it was quoted to be done. Here is what I am getting at.We hired a contractor to repair some bad sills and beams on a house. We were quoted to have the beams replaced as they were rotted as the words that came out of his mouth. He said he would replace them and only covered them up with plywood and never did replace the beams and sills. The job was really not a big job but took about two weeks to do because of excuses that he came up with.(He milked the job to get more money).I supplied some of the materials and still he charged extra for them. All in all he screwed himself in the long run.It will come back and bite him and cost him more in the long run.He is a well established carpenter in Gloucester. Now he is doing anything he can to get money and to hell with doing what is right.I have also talked to other people who own buisnesses in Gloucester that he has over charged and will not hire him again. All I wanted was a job done right and not be over charged for it.The job was not done correctly and now we have to have someone else come in to fix his showdy work and cost us more.
Before you have work done on your home, please check them out a little more.Who knows what you are going to find out about these people.I will post the name of this contractor later as I want to read more.I would have just dropped this ,but found out he is doing another job which has something to do with one of my family members. That job has taken much longer as he don't show when he is suppose to and then takes more time to screw the customer.
