For most women, the average monthly cycle, between "periods," is about 28 days, the middle of which, being the time when pregnancy most likely
occurs. Those critical moments, hours, days, can be charted out, over prior periods of months, to almost precisely define the very minutes when ovulation
occurs, the time when she is most likely to become pregnant. The process can be measured with special thermometers, which show a slight rise in female body
temperature, at the time of the release of the egg into the fallopian tubes, the time when the huam egg may or may not, come into contact with male sperm
cells.
(Charting fertility calendars, using the measuring of female body heat rise, should only be done under the supervision of doctors, nurses, who are qualified
and certified in using the female heat measurement approach.)
That time frame, usually several days, can either be avoided, or taken advantage of, depending on the variables, circumstances.
Married couples who've been trying to have families, w/o success, have found "fertility calendar charting" to be very successful, even though
patience over months and years is often required, before the babies arrive. It is not rocket science and has been around for about 50 years, my husband's
relative having been one of its pioneers.
For those who are sexually active, and want to avoid becoming pregnant, they can define which days to avoid sexual relations, being together, and intercourse.
The best time to AVOID pregnancy is about mid-way thru the female cycle. That is often 14-15 days before the predicted start of the next menstrual cycle, best
carefully measured, and charted out, months beforehand.
