East Gloucester Classroom Confusion | ||
|
Apparently the addition to East Gloucester Elementary, which could be scrapped, is not another modular classroom but an actual addition to what they now have.
This is the quote from the Times article-- "The East Gloucester addition would be built conventionally. Enclosing the space between the schools two wings
was chosen as a cheaper alternative to a 14th modular classroom."

Insider - the building committee does not have to be appointed until an architect or designer is hired. It does not hurt to appoint one earlier and John Bell
could have done so, but there was not much of a delay. I think the real mistake was Mayor Bell and the previous school committee not considering an architect
right at the start, but I have to admit I was one of those who thought an architect an unnecessary expense for just adding modular classrooms.
Personally I am not entirely convinced that this is not a tempest in a teapot anyway. Damon |

they would have 15!
