Yikes! And here I thought I was regressing!! LOL
I'm happy to see there are a bunch of die-hard rockers on this board! We have more in common than we thought! Brain ... if it helps any, it's not about the "sexy" of these guys for me, it's all about the music and that inner spirit of "teenager" who refuses to grow old ... "Old" rockers are rockers nonetheless ...

Joe Perry was up here not that long ago.. My friend Debb used to be his Nanny, and he came up to visit with his kid, and they all went skiing and
Snowmobiling..
I didn't even recognize him for a while.. it's funny When celebrities come up here, they are hardly even recognized |

I met this older woman -in Arizona- years ago. We picked up on each others' accents immediately. When I told her that I was raised on Cape Ann, she goes,
"OMIGAAAAWD!!! I miss Topsfield fay-uh!!" I liked her so much that I told her if she needed something as a picture hung, I'd do it. Months after
doing odd jobs for her, she called me up and asked me to bring my kids over. Why? I didn't know, they were 6 and eight years old. She had her grandkids
visiting, it turned out. And, ...I met her kid. It was Joe. A highschool dream come true, I spent the afternoon sucking down ice tea with Joe Perry, while my
kids were playing with his second litter. Joe told me that they used to come up to Gloucester to get into trouble. I asked Mary why she didn't tell me
sooner, that Joe was her son. "Everyone treats us different when they find out my son is Joey." Very down-to-Earth family,
Anyone ever see the Joe Perry Project while he dropped out Aerosmith in '82? Wicked good show. |

Joe told me that they used to come up to Gloucester to get into troublehe must have meant Gloucester, England, WER..'cause where the hell would Joe Perry go in this city to get in trouble? ; )
I'd rather laugh with
the sinners than cry with the saints
The sinners are much more fun... |

I didn't ask. But, I presume that he didn't come up here to go to church.

Steve Tyler sucked on opening day at Fenway. What an embarrassment.
When in doubt, twirl.

A national anthem is not really meant for rock n roll voices. Ever hear Geddy Lee sing O Canada?

I have heard Geddy sing it, and quite frankly, in my opinion..
Rene Rancourt does a MUCH better job He is a Mainer too, by the way, from Lewiston... Pronounced: Loy-ston |

I rather preferred Jimi Hendrix's version.

Ooops... I just saw "national anthem" and ASSumed.... my bad!
But, I still like Jimi Hendrix's version of *our* NA than anybody's version of O Canada... oh, well, me too LWN...
Rene Rancourt sings the National Anthem of our country, and Canada MUCH better than Geddy Lee could... I kept expecting him to break into Tom Sawyer or start singing "Take Off" when I heard him |
