Does anyone have the 411 on The Proposal, now being filmed on the Cape? I know they're currently in Rockport and scheduled to do some shooting in
Gloucester. I'm loathe to admit it, but I'm a Ryan Reynolds fan and would love to have him sign my copy of Waiting......

I used to watch 'Two Guys a Girl and a Pizza Place' just because Ryan Reynolds was so funny.
No clue on shooting schedule - they have been shooting for a week or two already in Rockport. |

They were shooting this morning. Thurs. 4/17. Parking was non-existant before entrance to Bearskin Neck, which was closed to thru public traffic. A police
officer was directing traffic left up Main St, where shops, eateries were all open.

It looked like they were shooting at Dock Square about an hour ago. Don't know if they are still there. |

I spoke with a Teamster in Boston last week. The Proposal is film set in Alaska, believe it or not. It is shooting in Boston, Manchester, Rockport and
Gloucester. The Boston scenes were in an office building (empty floor) that was supposed to be set in NYC. They are scheduled for several shoots in the area
but one in particular is at Enos Marine where they are painting the whole place over for a shot, then painting it back to original. Nothing is shot in
Alaska except for scenery.

I hate all things Hollywood, especially when they "grace" you with their presence, but they DID do a good job with "The Perfect Storm".

Loads of activity early this morning in the square in Rockport. Sandra Bullock's HUGE bus is parked at the Transfer Station parking lot this morning, with
a black limo next to it. Her husband Jesse James is reported to be with her. Yesterday a friend waited on Ted Dansen in the Common Crow. His wife, Mary
Steenburgen is in the movie. My friend did not know who she was waiting on until he produced his credit card. Last night Betty White was very evident in
Rockport. She looks and sounds exactly like the Betty White you expect. I would love to spot Craig T. Nelson. Does anyone know if he is in fact here?

Call me a little cynical, or perhaps it's just because I worked in the business (below the line) for a while. I just never understood the "star
struck" phenomena. If you think back to high school days for many of us, we wouldn't be caught dead going to watch the Drama Club rehearse. It's
just a job, folks. And these "stars" are just people doing a job. (Many of them are the kids in drama club that we avoided for years!) As I said,
perhaps I'm a little jaded since I've watched tons of reels of dailys of these "stars" working.

i wonder if any of them want to go with me to the meat raffle at the Elks tonight.
I'd rather laugh with
the sinners than cry with the saints
The sinners are much more fun... |

I'm with you, HedgeHog. These "stars" have to use toilet paper just like us proletariat, too. I've met tons of "stars". Tony
Randall was a hot shit. Sharon Stone was just a shit. Speilberg was a decent guy, his wife was the complete opposite. They're humans just like everyone
else. We have our own stars right here, we don't need Hollywood to inform us who we are to worship. Doesn't it kill you when they come out and endorse
political candidates? They wait until they see who's most likely to get the nomination, then jump onboard.
