I'm trying to grow a decent lawn this year. Actually, I've been trying to grow a decent lawn for 8 years now, but the sunniest area never seems to make
it. part of the problem is that I started my half acre of lawn with very poor soil, and another problem is that my neighbor let his grubs get way out of
control. His infestation took over a large area of my lawn and a good chunk of my other neighbor's lawn. I seem to be getting this under control, but it
has taken 3 years. Anyway, after putting down a bunch of seed and some non-environmentally friendly chemical agents, this rain is very welcome, as wtering this
lagre expanse is a tough job. I'm far from being an anal lawn aficionado, but would just like to have all the dirt covered. Any body got any secrets, aside
from praying for a little rain every other day?

After the STEP fill disaster, I covered the mess with a couple of inches of peat and compost and composted manure then lime. I then reseeded and the grass has
been doing better since then.

Love the rain, giving us a good soaking, some of it finding its way into reservoirs.

Love the sound of rain. It is especially nice when heard fro the inside of a tent.
