Good grief! Just for the record, I have indeed watched him for years. IMO, he should have stayed with the Moneyline format. I just don't happen to
agree completely with your opinion on him past or present although I'll say he was far better in the past, I still didn't feel his information or
analysis was always the most informative or accurate and I just never cared for his style which I did find to be wee bit on the pompous side. No big deal.
As for his "second" wife, I only mentioned that to differentiate between first and second, for heaven's sake and I do think that incident in the context of his expressed views over time was of valid interest. Of course, his views on immigation are highly controversial. I suspect that this child of immigrants may not agree with you on that one either all the way around, but hey, that's fine.
As for getting info through filters, I just prefer mine not to be filtered by Dobbs. Is that a holy crime or somethin'? After all, we ARE talking news/entertainment here.
Please don't confuse not being willing to give credit where due with just not agreeing with your opinion on this particular show. I freely give it as well, I just don't happen to believe as you do that there's much here to credit. I would, however, say that I credit him with a certain enduring popularity over the years which in the fickle world of commercial TV is sometimes hard to come by.
