I like pretty much all their stuff but I would have to say "Hotel California" is one of my favorites.
I do however really like the lyrics to their song "Hole in the World" which is about 9/11. The band got together on 9/10/2001 in L.A. to prepare to record. Then 9/11 hit and they cancelled their recording session and Don Henley started to work on the chords for the song. He said "Things in today's world are not so black-and-white, so clear-cut. This is not a John Wayne movie. This is the 21st century. It's complex, and people have forgotten about our history-if they ever really knew it in the first place." Glenn Frey then finished the second verse. They made it simple and it's awesome. One of the lines from the first verse: "They say that anger is just love disappointed." It's a great tune (and commentary/lyrics) from their "The Very Best Of" 2 cd set.
