Shit went political didn't I? WTF I failed my own test. FUT! Can you earn your keep ? in a dog eat dog world of dire existants ? Would you be worth keeping if the world economy collapsed? Can you provide a skill too feed and house many? Can you provide shelter , food , or water to a group? How about fire for warmth and cooking. Got real survival skills? It may come to that sooner then ya think. What are your base skills too survival? Ever think about it? Time to think beyond writing fantasy, life is getting real IMO.

add back fertalizer. Puters???? Methane gas from the cows farts to run the genny. Oh what a world it was.
When the world collapses, look me up. I'll be the fat guy in the country, living large.

Simpler life sounds sooo attractive, muffy ..... I think I'd like to step it up a bit from eating bugs and adding back fertilizer, tho ... ;-)
I don't know a whole lot about the 'puter biz ... but I can imagine that what might happen (aside from the shitty economy in general) is what often does with all kinds of products .... over time things become cheap enough that replacing is often more economical (because yeah, the fixers need to eat, too) than repairing. Another product gets added to the throw-away society's list of disposable items. But then there ya go ... reusing, recycling ... |

Am I worried? Yep, about a lot of things. But, I can't control any of them, so what's the point of expending my mental energy?
Brain, before you throw in the towel, any chance you can figure out why I can't find the right driver to hook up my printer/scanner/copier? I went to the HP site, downloaded what I believe to be the right driver, but I can't find the damned thing (and neither can the printer) on the computer! I did it twice, and it's been three months now that I've been sitting here with a new, but non-functioning printer.

my friend bought and just renovated this lodge in Caribou, Maine
if you're looking to get away, Brain...she may be in the market for some help (bartending, general help)..probably not much money but room and board could probably be worked out..
