Zoe's Tapas is a culinary adventure for the discrimating palate. With seven weeks of experience , the menu is an ambitious array of introductory selections, that will undoubtably be pruned to the preferences of their regular diners over time. I went to this eatery with a family group of adults and tweeners in the very early dinner hours with a roomful of similar groups in the spacious, well appointed hearth-like dining area. We all agreed, this is a place to which we will return.

Every food order from our group was well received by the individual who ordered it. Tapas selections were finger food portions, but allowed one to sample a variety of interesting offerings. I opted for a dinner, and ordered the roasted stack of portebello mushrooms stuffed with layers of corn relish, goat cheese and roasted red peppers. It was drizzled with a roasted tomato broth and topped with fried curls of leeks. I simply loved it. The textures, tastes, and contrasts of hot and cold were wonderful, and it was a very generous portion. So often, vegetarian food is the same ole, same ole. This experience is yummy and innovative. While there are hearty, traditional selections(e.g. NY Strips) on the menu, our group focused on the vegetarian and seafood selections. One of the youngsters had a crab cake tapas, and salad. The other ordered a tapas of diver scallops with an off-menu bowl of pasta and cheese. Both were happy and full. Another individual in our group started with an interesting roasted beet salad, and finished with the Citrus Salmon. The service was good, and the prices were within the expected range of similiar eateries.
