What a day! Essex is jumping. All the restaurants are busy, the antique shops are mobbed, people are out doing every conceivable outdoor activity except skiing
and the birds are singing sweetly. Perfect!

Had a GREAT day with the kids. They were all so full of love. Excellent! Poems, breakfast in bed, good behavior in church. Everyone now in bed. Waiting for the
man of the hour to pour me a Merlot.

Had a nice day with the sons and gradkids. Grandkids had soccer games today so we enjoyed watching them play, then on to the eldest son's house for dinner.
We also celebrated granddaughter #3's and my youngest son's birthday as well as Mother's day. Two dozen roses from #2 son and a nice big hanging
plant from #1 son and family. All in all a very nice day, but a long one as we had to travel an hour each way.
Sounds like a few of the mothers here had a nice day also. Good on you.

George's had a line out the door yesterday morning. What's wrong with cooking at home and serving Ma there? Isn't that what she did for us for
about 18 years?

We probably should have stayed home, we were at the Gull for almost 2 hours! But, all in all, it was a great day!

I had a great day too! Visited with both Moms and Sis and then get this, my hub took me golfing. He's never been but was a doll and took me. He did great
actually. Then had a nice dinner at the Patio with him and my daughter. Those are the best gifts, just having special time together.

Had a great weekend!!!
My daughter, who had to work on Sunday, met me at the mall on Saturday and we spent the day at the spa, shopping and then dinner at the Cheese Cake Factory................ My son came down on Sunday with my grand daughter (man that little one brings me such joy, I can't express enough how alive she makes me feel!!!) went out for lunch and then went walking around another mall (Laila's suggestion...ya at two she likes to shop already). All she wanted was a pair of blue sun glasses...........who am I to deny the little beauty anything!!! All in all, it was a superb weekend................ |

I had breakfast made for me by my 5 year old... (Kashi Go Lean Crunch w/ Blueberries), I had to pour the milk, it was too heavy for her! My16 year old drew me
an amazing Pastel, of a beach, inspired by Sanibel. FRiday, I was at the Pre-School, having a Mother's Day Brunch, and I got a little baby food Jar full of
paper flowers, and a hand decorated frame, with her picture in it! I really love the home made gifts the best..
I worked out ALONE for 2 hours, it was like heaven.. Then I came home, and the 16 year old had made French Onion Soup at work on Saturday and brought me home a half gallon for lunch.. And if ya'll know me, it's one of my favorite things to eat!! Then we spent the rest of the day, until 6pm, outside, planting, cleaning, raking, wheel barrowing... Then we grilled Ah-So Pork for dinner What a DAY!! |
