I just saw a brown-headed cowbird and a rose breasted grosbeak in my backyard. Shot video of the latter (which I'd never seen before) at the birdbath.
Anybody seen any interesting birds lately?

Yes! I saw a Baltimore Oriole this morning in my front yard. The birds are going nuts in my neck of the woods, much to my enjoyment.
Nesting catbirds behind my shop, as well. |

Invasion of the noisy bluejays. Must be about 10 of them now in my yard. Yelling, and squawking, and fighting. Making the cats nuts.

"Making the cats nuts"I love it when cat jaws get going and they actually salivate over potential prey. Kitty has instincts way older than mine. |

Zanny, you won't be getting like that without HGH and/or steroids. So go ahead and grab those 15s.

Is it full of those annoying stamp-collector birder types?

Sometimes it is more Stanley Cup playoff fans who occasionally mention birds if that answers your question.
Of course there are always those who have a reputation of being easily annoyed . We send them back here. Don't start with me, Lefty. You can't lick a stamp. |

off a list and don't give a damn about behavior, biology, adaptation, life history, or any of the other things I personally find interesting -- much more
than simply checking off a name on a list.
But, that's just me.
Perhaps I'll look in, and if it's just postage stampers, I'll quietly leave.
