Has anyone here seen No Country For Old Men? I know it won a ton of awards and I know it is based on a Cormack McCarthy novel but I think I missed something... The cast was excellent. I love Tommy Lee Jones and Javier Bardem. Josh Brolin was perfect. Their supporting cast couldn't have been better --- Woody Harrelson and Barry Corbin and Kelly McDonald and Tess Harper. The cinematography was great and for awhile I was really fascinated but then...... what happened? I am a big Coen brothers fan, from great drama (Fargo) to the best movie ever made (The Big Lebowski). I thoroughly enjoyed No Country For Old Men, despite the ending that people are complaining about. The ending was a little abrupt, but you can think of the last scene as an epilogue to the story that had just finished being told. At any rate, if you are a movie fan, you should see it. I think it's great, but even if you disagree, it's worth the time to find out.

I don't think it has anything to do with the ending. I am totally tired of Hollywood happy endings but the movie lacked an overall msg or theme. Loved Fargo also.
