looking for mooring, dock, slip space in Gloucester/Rockport |

Anyone looking to rent space on their dock? Know of some available slip/mooring space? I have a 20' grady (my first boat) and would love to keep it in
water for the summer.

Dockage is very hard to get in the city, if I hear of anything I will let you know. I am amazed at how many boats are for sales these days, and pretty darn
cheap, looks like between the price of the boat, maintaining the boat, dockage fees, and the price of GAS, most people are trying to sell, sell, sell, not that
I blame them one bit. I was going to invest in a boat a couple years ago, I am kinda glad I didn't now. I don't think I could afford to keep it going.

Thanks. I bought a boat now for all of the reasons you mentioned - I figured people would be looking to sell because of gas prices, etc. I think I was able to
get a good deal. I also figured people would be looking to make some cash by renting out their docks, etc., but every place in town seems to be already booked.

Did your grandfather get on the list for moorage 70+ years ago? If not, you're SOL...

I noticed that about the mooring waiting lists. I 'm not originally from here so I seem to be SOL unless I want to pay the slip prices (assuming I can even
find one)

If you're willing to consider a slip on the Essex River, I believe the Essex River House Motel has some slips for rent. 978-768-6800.

I heard George Sibley had a few mudflat dock spaces. Also heard that Scott in Essex (is it Pike's?) lost 9 boats this year. He may be a quick hit for a
mooring. Not a bad place either. Nice and close to Cranes.

thanks all. I found some slip space. These are all good recommendations though. I didn't know about Essex River House.
