I'd rather laugh with
the sinners than cry with the saints
The sinners are much more fun... |

brainfix: sometimes it is not the amount of food that makes someone fat. I agree! I was tall and slim my entire life - til I went on a lovely med that packed on 60 lbs. I've tried to lose this weight for the last 8 years and have tried it all, Weight Watchers, South Beach, Atkins, etc. For the last 6 years for breakfast I have fruit or an egg, I have a salad for lunch, I have chicken and a veggie for dinner, and that's it (no snacking between meals, no cheating....). I exercise with daily walks for an hour. And I have not lost a freaking ounce. So, that would top my list of things I'm Jonesing For - to figure out why I can't lose weight! And, of course, a winning lottery ticket! |

One question Frosty. When you go for those walks are you elevating your heart rate up for at least 20 minutes straight? Perhaps you are, but just for some that may not know, that walking without working up a sweat may not be getting your body into a state where it burns fat. Also your body adjusts over time to what you feed it. Endless diets of starving yourself can result in your body being able to operate on less fuel and it will be more ready to store whatever you feed it for when it is called upon. Smaller meals throughout the day will keep your metabolism cranking and stoking the fire. Just some observations. |
