Gloucester crossing looks like it is going to happen what stores would you like to see in there?
which stores would be good for the city? I think that there is going to be a restaurant in there also any suggestions on what would be best. lets try to keep
this up beat.

Marshall's, a fabric store, Staples, Pier I.......we sure don't need more restuarants, IMO.
I'm not a fan myself, but I'll bet a Christmas Tree Shoppe would really bring people in from the area. |

Market Basket or Trader Joe's...or both Target Marshall's (...love their fresh corn...) A good cigar store - like the one in Middleton that the local Gloucester guy owns A good small wine store (like the one in North Beverly near Panera Bread) Panera Bread! Marks & Spencer The Building Center...so that spot can be used for something much better and more appropriate Put a Mini Golf course up there, too! |

Trader Joe's would be nice but I think Ive read somewhere on the BB that they wont come here because there isin't enough population to support it.
Walmart no. K-Mart yes. Demoulas would be nice too but thats going to the drive-in. I guess we will have a whole bunch of choices there. I love the 70s

Trader joes will not come b/c in order to make a "smaller" store more successful, they would need to sell alcohol and there are no licenses available
to them here... HEY....what about Jazzy Joes???

Please no WalMart. At least Target gives back a little bit to the communty - WalMart just puts money into Sam's pockets.
TJ Maxx and Marshalls = same company. Same difference as far as I'm concerned. My hope would be that there are some "unique" stores rather than just the same chain stores you get anywhere else. If it's the same exact selection as every other Generica Mall, why would people journey for the privelege of shopping/eating the exact same stuff as Danvers, Burlington, Woburn ..... |
