Does anyone know if Kennedy needs blood? I think I have enough alcohol in my system right now to qualify as a donor...
To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.-Theodore Roosevelt, The Kansas City Star, May 7, 1918 |

Hey..Gang. I was not one of the sleazy bitches, was I Wingie? I did not partake in that entire thread. Leave me out of it. I actually like the banter with
Leftie. While he can be most annoying...he is entirely predictable. And Republican woman are too prudie to be sleazy.
UnPeren. Very funny. |

Chris Matthews said last night of the Senator that "No one loved politics more and no one loved policy more."
While I'm not a fan of either politics or policy, I have much respect for the man. |

Well said Joe. As usual, a calming voice of reason. You and Damon are cut from the same cloth. :)

Damon and I disagree on a bunch of stuff but we don't have to call each other names all day long. People can have differences of opinion and still respect each other. |

Depends on whether the other person's opinions are based on knowledge or ignorance, as well as sound reasoning.

They gave my father-in-law better than a few months. He lasted four days.
Excellent diagnosis, MGH! |

I have a friend who had a benign brain tumor removed, and it has affected her ever since. These are never good things.

My mother was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor and was advised to have it removed as soon as possible. They said it was the size of her little finger and
just above where her right ear was. She decided she wanted to wait six weeks and have a second brain scan. When she did it was completely gone. She swears it
was a miracle --- that St. Anne (Patron Saint of Mothers) came through for her. I suspect it was just a natural anomaly. Who knows?
I wish the Senator well. He has done much for many.
True art is moral: it seeks to edify life, not to debase it, to hold off, at least
for a little while, the twilight of the gods and of us.
