Last night during Cape Ann Report, six calls came in on the West Gloucester Gun Range. The station was also swamped with calls about Gloucester Crossing. The
gun range question was only asked once, because all of the calls.

There are about 290 Coast Guard, 60 plus G.P.D. and who knows how many Sergeant Leanos brings in from other cities while he is being paid by the state with no
compensation to the city. The shots echo all the way down to Walker Creek and lead shot is everywhere, including in the side of the dam. Kirks assistant claims
the lead stays inside the jacket, but this is false.

Above is a clip from last year on the shooting range. I'll post some of the residents comments from the recent meeting soon. Residents and police are upset that Leanos is in their opinion, running a private business on city land. |

the members while the police were shooting. the police did not want the public to see how they train as most dept.'s dont want the average citizen to see
there tactics. as for the lead, you probably have a better chance of getting lead poisoning from people that fish there than from the brass encased bullet. if
your gonna get rid of the shooting range then call the green police to come and fine everyone that goes fishing at a public water supply ie. babson res., goose
cove, haskell's etc.

No fisherman would pump 1000's of shots a day into one spot. This is the Gloucester police, they don't need tactics, this is not SWAT in LA. Shooting in a watershed is an unconscionable risk to our drinking water |

'Tactics'??!!! Give me a fucking break....it's boys with toys and target practice. Work it out w/ The Sportsman's Club - put the running of it
out in the open and any outside fees should go to the venue and/or the city; result: better for everybody all round.

neighbors bickering! They ain't out there shooting at 1AM.
