Insider, I don't understand your quote "I hope we never know"? You use a "whistle blower" as your Avatar. You also try to bring to light anonymously "inside information".

My question is: Why do you hope we never know? We (on all over this board) want accountability for our City's finances and the people who work for our City. We want our children to know what is right from wrong and that bad choices have consequences? Just a question, not an attack because I am not up for it.

Do you still believe in the child-like behavior of Middle/High School - don't be a RAT? It seems uncharacteristic of you, your moniker, avatar, and postings. We need to get to the bottom of what is inherently wrong with the way our City is run IMHO.

Insider, Gotcha - point well said & taken! Sorry, misinterpretation of words. As I said, I am not up for a fight and meant no harm. I thought you did not want the perp identified. I am very well versed in City OBN politics, no explanation needed for the whistler blower's identity. Thanks, my break wasn't long enough.

Some here are still out for blood....and it is not appreciated and I shall stay out of the fray and get back on the beer post which is alot more fun!

I agree with you on many many things and love your style! However, on putting the identity of the person with the NADs to come forward out there for both the public and the employees, I disagree. I don't see where it matters as long as there is validity to the accusation and someone is not hung out to dry by a false accusation.
It is only detrimental to that person or person(s) in this instance and going forward for others to feel comfortable and safe enough to come forth on other illegal acts.

I know for a FACT that a former City employee (many moons ago) was threatened with physical harm and more by another employee if he/she squealed on the threatening employee's significant other who was also employed by the City at the time for doing something that was "illegal".
Scare tactics, being shunned by the majority for being untrustworthy - or a RAT, unfortunately does happen, even in little old Glosta. Needless to say this "whistle blower" was too afraid to come forward and did NOT, and under the circumstances, I don't blame them.

Please don't say this person did not have the balls to come forward - they were just plain scared for them and theirs by the threatened harm to them by friends of the pair.

Sounds like a made for TV movie but it this alive and well here in our City and others, I'm sure. Insider is right on this. As I said, this happened a long time ago, in a far away land, and it no longer matters. IMO what matters NOW is this most recent case and the safety and security of their identity.
