How big of a draw can the high school daycare be? There are only 7 spots available for babies, aren't there? If that is the case, I don't think
pregnant mothers from all over are coming to Gloucester for free daycare. Much of this crap is so blown out of proportion people don't know what is true
anymore. Some stations say 17 kids are in a pact, others say all are under 16 years old, then another interviews a 17 year old pregnant girl. Lacking
research and facts much?

She said that unfunded mandates have kept us from providing increased Health Education classes. i.e. reading and math. I was just drawing attention that the
Health Curriculum hasn't changed that much and can't really be blamed for a quadrupling of pregnancies.

Maybe they should think about that class where you take the fake babies home to care for them and they have little recorders in them to tell the teachers how
you screwed up your care for them. One of my nephews had to take the baby home 3 different times because he kept killing it by lack of food. Do they do that in
Gloucester? He did it in the 8th grade.
Maybe it should be moved to 6th grade. Must have been a deterrent to the kids in their school (Florida). None of them know of even one girl to have become pregnant in their school. |

global, I think they already do the fake baby thing at GHS, but someone can correct me if I am wrong.
So no more comments on people coming from all over to get free day care in Gloucester? More than one person has talked about that. Like I said though, 7 spots in daycare does not leave a lot of room for out-of-towners when you normally have 3 or 4 Gloucester babies there already. |

I doubt people come from all over. Maybe they are choiced in to Gloucester when they get pregnant because they will fit in better than at Manchester High.

BTW - what would be so awful about a pregnant teen using the daycare provided on-site. The city gets money when students choice in. Why the knee-jerk response to disown these girls. |
