I don't get what's so funny about that. Scalia is probably the most brilliant jurist to sit on the Supreme Court in our lifetime. He understands that
the Bill of Rights means exactly what our founding fathers wrote. As do all the other ammendments contained in the Bill of Rights, the second ammendment
establishes an "individual" right to bear arms. You can love it or hate it but it is the law of the land.

As I said, you can fuss and fume and call me names but it is the law of the land. I've noticed that some people on this board like to spout off without
knowing what they are talking about. Please read the decision, it's available on the internet at scotusblog.com. It is a well reasoned, cogent and I would
say brilliant decision. Stevens dissent was, in my opinion, sophomoric.The Court recessed right after issuing the decision and this matter is essentially
settled for the immediate future probably forever. In my personal opinion guns should be highly regulated but in order to do that the Constitution has to be
ammended and that just ain't gonna happen.

I can see the day when there are NO federal gun laws and every state is left to do its own thing... some states, like Arizon, will arm to the tits, and the
dice will roll, while places like California will voluntarily disarm... the cops will develop into a strong, street-command paramilitary that would deal
quickly and harshly with gun violence... states like Arkansas won't show much change... they never rise with the tide, nor do they suffer low water... in
order for us to change this system, we're going to have to break it first... pick up a gun and go do something with it... something public...
