I do not remember ever being favorably impressed by the out of control drinking and nose bashing. I missed a lot of years in my late teens and twenties while
away at school and overseas and working in Cambridge while living in Cambridge and Woburn, but it got so bad for a while that I just stayed in Lanesville
during Fiesta. Lately it has been pretty good at least until after the sports so I have been sticking around. I think the police and the Fiesta Committee and
the families that are trying to maintain traditions deserve some credit for that. I felt on the four days that I watched that the locals were going out of
their way to be welcoming.

Most of the arrests in the police notes today were locals.

Foresta, I think your assertion that Fiesta problems are not caused by Gloucester people is beyond naive. The police notes had 19 arrested 'true
Gloucesterites' to 7 arrested out-of-towners. More lopsided than you are suggesting.

Reading today's GD Times,in the police notes there were 26 arrests.....20 of them local residents! So to say it's the outsiders that do most of the harm, according to the police....it doesn't hold true. |

The locals have it down to a science because the lax environment encourages bad behavior and they think they can get away with it. This place just kills me
sometimes. This is Glosta, if you don't like it we'll beat the crap out of you!

Like the asshole Forters who declined the apparent offer of a 'neighborly beer' from the CA Brewing Co. senior partner with a hearty 'Fuck you.' Such charm from those acolytes of San Pietro drinking like fish on their porches during all the festivities...and only 10 feet from the doors of a respectable business establishment! And people wonder why this city is in the shitter. |

I also noticed that there was some major partying going on at the homes around the fort. I for one, and the group I was with, were most impressed with the Brew
Company, the brew, and the guys making it happen.
We had a great time in there. Heard the mayor even stopped by for a tour of the place on one of the days they were open. |

Were they rowdy? No.
Did patrons puke on neighbors doorsteps? No. Did patrons insult neighbors they ran into? From all accounts, no. Do we have a problem? No. What's the problem? |
