2pm-ish. Dozens of cars pulled over, from Boston to E. Gloucester, as many bolts of lightning were making touchdowns, esp. around the North Shore, amidst
sirens, and emergency vehicles, zooming along, flashing blue lights. Several grey-black funnel clouds tried to form, but fizzled out in N. Beverly, and
Manchester. Saugus, Rte I was quite scary, with added flooding. Glad I wasn't driving. 
Our beaches must have closed, as tie-ups occurred at Concord St., Eastern Ave,
Bass Ave, & E Main St. Kids may be home now, from the beaches.
2:45 pm, wind SW, 0mph. All's quiet on the eastern front, good soaking, no wind, sun coming out, patches of blue sky showing, no sirens. And all that fresh nitrogen from the lightening jazzing up our gardens.
