Over the past week, I thought about a bunch of things in this City to be thankful for. You always take the good with the bad and hopefully the good outweighs the bad.

Well, the same holds true with America. I think how lucky we are to live in the United States where anyone can become anything they desire if they work hard enough. We have so much while other nations have so little. We are free. Some people don't share that freedom.

However, when a crime like this happens to a young vibrant 12 year old girl by her own Uncle's hand, you have to ask yourself WTF are WE doing? How do we create monsters like this?
I realize children go hungry every day & that there is suffering everywhere in all forms. I also know we are in a war and so many of our sons & daughters are dying and I don't quite "get it" to a point of justification (for me personally.)

What I do know is that an innocent young girl is dead because she apparently "trusted" her Uncle. What the hell are we doing to each other? Is it that we just don't hear of this type of crap happening in other countries as much, or do we (USA) breed this type of animal? I always hear about this type of atrocity but it usually seems like it is in the USA. Maybe I am just not paying close enough attention. I don't know.

It is just so sad, so unnecessary, and so freakin unbelievable.
There is nothing that would make me believe that this perverted piece of flesh will truly "pay" for what he allegedly did until he meets his maker (if you believe in that.)
