----------------------------------------------------------------------- If asking for level funding to at least man 3 stations and better protect the public whether it be from a fire or medical emergency is whining , then so be it. If you want to roll the dice and hope it doesn't happen to you or your family, then good luck. The GFD shouldn't unecessarily put their lives at risk because the manpower isn't there because of lack of funding. . But don't bitch and complain if help doesn't arrive to avert a bad situation. This isn't a threat , just a fact. Also, I have to laugh about people saying thre FD has eccessive overtime when their given $200,000 for a 77 man department ( oh yeah, two firefighters just left and their positions weren't funded) and the police get $458,000 for a 60 man department. Good for the police, but how about equal treatment |
