Gad.
If what happened to me happened to you or anyone you gave a good God damn about, you'd feel the same way.
But, you clearly revel in ignorance, so who gives a flying fuck what a moron like you thinks, anyway.

To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.-Theodore Roosevelt, The Kansas City Star, May 7, 1918 |

Wait. I might have missed something. What happened to you? I am only saying that I am the mother of a kid that disappears. I would want for you to hold the kid
captive until we can be located or help can be found.

One of my boys was like that Global, he used to take off on me everywhere, he was like a rocket, I tried the leashes, but the comments and glares I would get
from people were unbelievable. One time he disappeared in Filene's. I don't usually panic, but this time I couldn't find him for a long time and I
was terrified, I was calling him and looking everywhere to find him, no one seemed to care or was willing to help me look. Finally I went to customer service
thinking they could call security or something, you know what they did, they paged him. Seriously, he was three, how was he going to respond. I went back to
where he disappeared and he was in the middle of the aisle cracking up laughing about the trick he played on me. I could have killed him, but I was so happy to
find him that I cried.

LWN, I clearly don't "get you"! When I think you are joking (like the above quote) and I take it in stride, I later in the thread find out you are not in fact joking? When you are joking in a thread, sometimes I do "get it" sometimes I don't (feel it may not be appropriate) and I get stung. What is the deal? How the hell do you tell the difference if you haven't been on this board forever? You have me completely baffled with the exception of your views on Republicans n bigots. If the above "quote" did happen to you I am sorry and hope it worked out in the end. No need to reply. I just had to put that out there because you confuz me - and I am guessing you probably like that, no? ![]()

Many people have pointed out that if you touch a strange kid or even talk to him or her alone, the parents (and others) ASSUME you're a pederast looking
for a new conquest.
Having been charged with crimes I did not commit, the legal expenses for which I will be paying for YEARS, I have no interest in placing myself in a situation where it is even remotely possible I will be wrongly charged with even more serious crimes that I did not commit. Sorry if that seems unkind to you. I simply cannot afford another fiasco like the one I've just finished dealing with. Ah Wing. Now I am getting the story. And you are right to have concerns and I am with Mother. No need for explanation but I can only imagine the hell it has
been dealing with something like that.
I feel for you and I think it sucks that you are still paying for something that was not your fault. But just do me a favor. Before you run like Hell in the other direction....just direct my errant child to a friendly looking lady with a couple of kids hanging off her. Then put on the sneakers.... |

You can give direction from a few feet back if necessary. Not sure if you have kids or not but it is the most scary thing in the world when you realize they
are not right with you.
