What are you growing for fruits and vegetables this season? I've got tomatoes, peppers, swiss chard, lettuce, summer/zucchini squash, cucumbers, and
pumpkins.
Are they doing well? |

Tomatoes (several types), strasberries, jalapeno and habanero peppers. Strasberries took off and grow faster than I can eat them. The rest are coming along
slowly.

I've got bell and jalapeno peppers right now. A few bell peppers going strong and almost ready to eat, way earlier than years past. Jalapenos are small
but numerous. Have been meaning to get to Marshall's for tomatoes and cukes, but haven't found the time yet, wondering if I'm too late...

I don't have any land, so all my gardening is in containers on the back porch and on window sills in my apartment. I've got a few varieties of tomatoes
with flower buds on them, and I eagerly watch them for signs of the first tomatoes. I have two beautiful bell peppers ready to be picked and eaten. I've
got a number of red hot chile peppers hanging and also ready to be picked and eaten.

We've egg plant, summer squash, watermelon, melon, cukes, brussel sprouts, green beans, hot and sweet peppers, broccoli, zuccini, and an assortment of tomatos. The broccoli grew very good this year as we have already made two cuts and a third cut is almost ready. The beans as just about ready and expect to pick them this week-end. So far everything is looking very good and hopefully we will have as much success with the tomatos as we did last year.
Don't blame me, I voted for Muffy.

Good luck with the strawberry's, we had a fairly good size patch a couple of years ago and the darn birds got them faster then we could. I finally surrendered and planted another veggie.
Don't blame me, I voted for Muffy.

6 acres of hay, golden shinners, swiss chard onions, potatoes ,pole beans, peapods, and carrots. All is growing well. The fish are feeding the fish hawks and some
ducks. Someday maybe they will be bass food. Farm ponds take time to mature.

Henbane, ginseng, a little bit of horehound, a nicely spreading patch of hyssop and, of course, a nice planting of lovage...

I gave up growing vegetables because I lost interest in weeding. Thankfully, my neighbor loves to weed and provides us all the cherry tomatoes we need. Growing
all italian herbs in containers.

Also in container gardens for me - some hot peppers which are flowering but not yet fruiting, cilantro is picked over and ready for second planting, basil
(both hot and Italian) and parsley both full and hearty.
Wanted to do tomatoes but that will have to wait until next summer. Can't wait until the Farmers' Market! |

Lots of fresh mint. What's a decent cocktail without it?

3 varities of tomatoes.....and plenty of mint that grows like wildfire, no matter how much i weed it out. Last year I planted acorn squash and that did well in
my front garden. when i went to buy my tomatoe plants from marshall's they hadnt put out the acorn squash and i never made it back there.

Any of you who have extra produce you can't use, can or give to friends - The Village Market is Essex is looking for local gardeners to help provide fresh,
local produce. Might as well make a little $$ for all that hard work!

We end up giving a lot to family, friends, and neighbors when they all ripen, the problem is everything seems to ripen at the same time. In North Gloucester
a lot of people paid a flat fee to a farmer who is going to provide fresh produce on a weekly schedule. From what I understand the produce is very good but IMO
a bit pricey when you break it down to a weekly cost.
Don't blame me, I voted for Muffy.
