I would be willing to bet that this very sad young woman was the victim of sexual abuse as a child. She is obviously smart and very articulate, in a crude sort
of way. She has feelings of inadequacy and low self esteem and is punishing herself and her parents by acting out and exposing herself on YouTube.
The sad thing is there are many other young women in Gloucester with similar stories. The City is so broke it can't afford to fund the kinds of social and outreach services these kids need. The schools are left to handle all these problems. Some people on this board constantly berate the schools and teachers and prattle on about how much money is wasted on the school system. How would like to be a teacher and have to deal with this young lady along with her dysfunctional family? There are lots of really good kids in Gloucester but so many others fall through the cracks and become throwaway children. The future of Gloucester isn't in fishing, Sam Park, Fiesta, greasy poles or cruiseports. It is with our children and I suspect many of them are not getting the care they need. |

This young woman grew up in Gloucester. Didn't anyone, a neighbor, social worker, teacher, minister, notice that she was in trouble? Some responsible adult should have intervened years ago and gotton her help. |

The girl is having her say --- whether you agree with it or not is your business but given the current cultural climate, the fact that she has made a life style choice that the sexually repressed find repugnant does not qualify her as "fucked up" --- or sexually abused. I think there are self indulgent rants by fucked up brats here and they are NOT from "Sapphire"!
