Anyone know if prices went up at Charlie's? Expect so...if so, how much?

We haven't been yet, but I heard that last night there was a big line waiting to get in, and it was about an hour wait. We were going to try tonight, but
ended up at the step daughter's house at the pool and had Chinese take out there. Maybe next weekend we'll get to Charlies................

Looking at Eds lobster roll it almost makes you want to drive up to Maine and get the lobster roll, the price seems very reasonable.

Don't blame me, I voted for Muffy.

Retired, what the hell is that next to the picture of the lobster roll? It looks like fried intestines???
My lobster roll story - my first job out of college, I naturally had little money for food and my boss felt badly for me. Her daughter's boyfriend was a lobsterman so she used to bring me a lobster roll once or twice a week. I thanked her profusely and when lunch came, I secretly removed all the lobster meat, tossed it, and ate the roll |

I'm not sure Frosty, could be a Fisherman's Platter, Fried Squid, or Fried Lobster, I'd guess Fried Lobster.
Don't blame me, I voted for Muffy.

The roll must be toasted with Maine raised butter, and the lobster must have been on vacation in Maine waters on their way to Valhaula. Other wise, hopefully
caught by a Gloucester man intersepting them on their way to Vacation land.----- Poor buggers , but tasty fer sure. Beware of surami fillers, if it tastes to
sweet, its pollack and all the other stuff in fake crabmeat often blended in lobster rolls. Capt Joe will set ya staight , get a nice sheddah and make it ya
self is the best , but avoid addin' much. Lobsters can stand on their own , as well as on their head if ya talk to em right and give em a back rub.
Why , be so mean to others ya don't know ?

Don't forget that you're WAY inland, Zanny. You may as well be in Ohio, considering where you live, at least when it comes to lobsters. Lobsters on the
coast of Maine are the best, by far. Sorry, Joe... I've sampled them from all over... they're not bad at all from here, but not as good as a good
locally caught Maine lobster, the further downeast, the better.

I had the most delicious lobster roll at Neptune Oyster in the North End. It was way expensive compared to my North Shore favorite, Farnham's, but it was
really good. They offer it warm, with drawn butter or cold with a little mayo. I prefer the cold.

True, LWN.... But apparently, the deal with the Lobster place I go to, is that they are new ones every other day...
Scotty drives to Someplace on the Coast everyday to buy fish, clams & Lobsters... I don't know if it's really the deal, but that is what I am told, and only go on the days when he brings them in |

I was at Charlie's Place for lunch the other day. The place looks great and the menu and prices seem right about the same. Lobster Rolls were $15.99.

Thanks for the info! Most of us only take a 1/2 hr lunch, so maybe one of the "hour" girls would go and get them.
