Congrats Cape Ann Brewing Co.! |

This won't hurt business. Northshore Magazine just put out their "Best of" issue. Cape Ann Brewing Co was singled out for their Fisherman's
Brew as best locally brewed beer. A bunch of other Cape Ann business received "Readers Choice" nods as well.

They make a great product. I wish they would be allowed to open a brew pub at the brewery. It would be a real class act to have one here in town. I got to
have a couple of beers with ADULTS when they were allowed to open during the Fiasco.

still think their beer tastes like sh*t. but congratulations to a local company. I think they have actually outgrown their place down the fort and need to be
thinking of a move to bigger and better locations.

Here's the text:
"This refreshing and crisp beer is locally brewed in Gloucester. It's toasty malt flavor and dry happy finish have Northshore editors pronouncing it the toast of the town." Also getting mentions were Salem Beer Works, The Tap Brew Pub and Restaurant, Haverhill, and Mercury Brewing Company, Ipswich. |

Not a huge beer drinker but loved the hefferwiesen (SP?). Tried it at Fiesta when they were open. It was totally fun in there and the crowd was digging it.

He likes donut flavored beer, makes him think he's on a traffic detail for $45 an hour playing pocket pool with one hand and eating a glazed cruller with
the other.

If he has such a revulsion toward excellent beer, I would guess he likes the usual tasteless American swill -- Bud, Miller, Coors, and the like.
I also like their IPA. Beats the sox off Harpoon's. I heard (from someone at Cape Ann Brewing) that their IPA was judged "best" at a recent competition. As I've mentioned before, they *do* have consistency problems, especially in the bottled brews, which are contracted out... they bottled a batch of IPA that really sucked. I'm surprised they put it on the market. Ah, a memory like an elephant, a shame for me. I wish they could get a permit for a full time brew pub, I would meet you down there for my pint, and buy you a
few more myself!

I bumped into Peckham at the Food & Wine Expo, and the kid was just beaming. Things are going very well for T.J. and Mike. I'm glad for them big time.
Don't care for their beer? I hear that Meisterbrau is on sale for $9.99 a case.

actually my favorite is amstel light. as budweiser targets younger drinkers, places like sam adams etc targets the people who think they are more sophisticated
and the yuppies. to each is own I guess. hey thong....you been swapping spit with Y lately??? you are starting to sound alike.

Call me crazy, but I was thinking that Amstel Light falls in the same category as Sam Adams (as far as so-called "beer snobbery").

Next time I feel like having a donut flavored beer I will opt for an Amstel light.
