which talks about how the DNC Committee in Denver has been allowed to fill up their gas tanks at the City's pumps and hadn't been charged fuel taxes.
The part of the article which caught my eye was this little snippet..
However, Public Works spokeswoman Christine Downs told City Council members just hours before that host committee members were fueling up at the city pumps. The city does not pay taxes on the fuel for its fleet, and Downs said the host committee would not either.
I was just wondering if, given the purported abuses at the Gloucester City's pumps, does Gloucester also not pay taxes on fuel? (And, yes, I know if
Gloucester City has to pay fuel taxes then ultimately, we as taxpayers would merely have to pay that bill also.) I was just wondering how many more of these
exemptions exist for what us mere mortals have to pay vs. the government.
