I Live Out In West Gloucester on Concord Street and Was Wondering if anyone else has issues with the digital voice. Currently Mine Will Hang up Calls and
sound roboticy and sometimes when I call people I get an anyoing all circuts are busy which I never use to get with verizon. Has Anyone Else Had Issues?

I don't have comcast for telephone, but a friend does. She says it sucks also. She wishes she had never got the package with them for TV, phone and
internet.

Ask the tech about compatable phones. My tech didn't have the brochure to give me showing me how to check messages and such, so he gave me his copy.
It's a photocopied stapled paper that is meant for the techs. It says on there that there are certain cordless phones that are known to not be compatable
with Comcast Digital Voice. V-tech, GE and Uniden, I think. Look into it. If you need the exact models I can post them here for you.

South Western Bell freedom pone Vtech model5867 and 5853 Uniden model # 8885-2 Panasonic cordless kxtc1743b Fax sharp ux460 Vtech 8155 At&t 5840 AT&t 5830 GE 21018GE3 GE 21028GES Memorex MPH 3388 Motorola MD700 series- MD751, MD761, MD70 Uniden DXA15188-2, EX15160, DXI38-2 TiVo connectivity troubles TIvo's that don't work TCD24008A, TCD24008, DVR 810H-S Model TCD24004A I had a vtech with huge trouble, not one of the models listed, no dial tone, static all kinds of things. Got a Radio Shack and have good luck since. I think it's very troubling that no one from Comcast tells people that they may have to buy a new phone if they choose the service. Good luck. |

Comcast is not alone in its suckiness. We have Verizon DSL, which F's up all the time at home. I find that I am shutting down and powering up my wireless
modem/router a lot to get my connection working. I do have Comcast for cable, wishing they would add some more HD channels...

Sorry, guys - I have had Verizon high-speed DSL for about 6 years and have never enountered a problem...smooth as silk. But, I live in Rockport...

I think I wasn't clear about something posted about Skype... you can only call other Skype users FOR FREE... but for the $2.95 per month, you can call
nationwide to ANY telephone...
