First time there today, right before closing at noon. Managed to try their Eggs Benedict for my informal survey of best hollandaise sauce in town.
Best homefries in town! Tiny red potato pieces with onions and a little something else. <<<<<<++++++ GObama! ++++++>>>>>>

OK - so which restaurant wins on the hollandaise - so far. I love eggs benedict, minus the pig, natch! Best I ever had was in Washington, D.C. Still

yes, sakioki...a bit of lemon makes the hollandaise sauce...but too much makes it taste.....well,...spoiled, imho

I LOVE Zekes's. Love John, the owner and his staff are all hilarious. Try the eggs benny on eggplant sometime. Great! Personal fav is his hash.

Sigurdr, since I can't remember how Sugar Mag's hollandaise tasted, I'll have to give it another try. The thing that turned me off was the waitresses' attitude, like I was privileged to be served by her Holy Highness. |
