We have been notified that the message board is scheduled to be migrated to Yuku this week. I've been reading through some things on Yuku and it seems that
"this week" could mean any day, one of these weeks, or next month.
Some migrations have gone smoothly, others have not.
These are some things that members should be aware of in advance. I will add issues as I find out about them. You may want to add some of these links to your favorites in case you encounter problems. I will also put information up at Cape Ann Web on the site map.
- There is supposed to be a "in migration" notice on the board during the actual process, which could take ten minutes to a few hours. All threads and posts are supposed to transfer intact, but posts made during the migration will not be saved.
- Member accounts will be migrated with the board. Members should go to their control panel and make note of your account type (global or local - click "view profile" and beside "member since" it should indicate global or local). Under "edit profile", scroll down to contact information and make note of the email address. You may need that if you have log in problems.
If you have problems logging in:
1. If you have a global account, you may need to add .u or @u to the end of your username. For example, instead of Pink try Pink@u
2. If you have a local account, you'll need to add .capeannonline or @capeannonline to the end of your username.
3. Try logging in with your email instead of your username
4. Try requesting that your password be resent to you to ensure it's correct.
Yuku Log In Problems Page
- PMs from the ezBoard inbox do not transfer to your Yuku inbox. If you have a global ezBoard account, the old PMs will still be there - for an undetermined amount of time, you will still be able to go to ezboard.com and log in to your ezBoard account. If you have only a local ezBoard account, the PMs will, unfortunately, be gone for good.
- Avatars You won't be able to link to an external avatar, but you can upload and store avatars in your Yuku account. The avatar size is bigger (100x100 from 60x60), so what you are using now may appear distorted.
- Format The format is supposed to transfer with little change. The exception is the custom header and footer, which includes the webcams. I will have to add those codes manually. Depending on when the migration happens, it may be a while before I have time to work on it. The quick links also probably will not work until I edit them. I'm sure other features and items will need some tweaking as well.
- Chat There is a chat feature, but I will have to add it after the migration is complete.

Photo storage - it looks like members will have the ability to upload and store photos. I haven't read far enough to know if there is a storage limit.
Community Calendar - there is a calendar feature where members can post events.
