I reccommend it. Part 3 is on right now if you have HBO.

This is a great series. HBO and Showtime, with their soon to be continued series, The Tudors, are setting a new standard for television. I realize that some
people would deem it inappropriate for children but IMHO, so is the garbage being aired on the major networks. I would rather have watched these shows with my
kids as youngsters, than have them watch the reality show crap that has become standard fare for all broadcast networks. The Tudors starts up next Sunday
evening.

I like the episodes (Laura Linney is esp. good as Abigail) but it can't beat the book. I must admit that I find that I feel that way of most video/film
things that I have read the book first. I highly recommend the McCullough book --- He just brings your right in to these peoples' lives in the most lively
way!

I've had the book for ages.... and then I didn't want to read it until after the HBO series for that very reason - the book is ALWAYS better! The
series is excellent, though, and a great remedial American history lesson. Those founding fathers (and mothers) had some
serious stones!
Somebody knock me out and wake me up in time for the first frost, please.

So right, sakioki8, so right! I can never get over how the colonists ever thought that they could beat the British Empire -- with all their military might,
naval strength, and enormous purse! Never mind forming a new kind of governement that had never been seen in humankind! They not only did it, but did so well!
