That's incredible! I love Osprey. When I lived along the Russian River, they were all over the place. Their eerie calls resounded off the water and bounced
off the canyon walls.

I love them, too. Last year I captured pictures from the webcam at all stages of the process. My intention was to make a story book out of it for my grandkids.
Just before the two little ones fledged, the camera was damaged and it couldn't be repaired without disrupting the nest. :-(((( So I've started it
again this year. Hope I get the whole season this time.

Me, too. Thanks Ev for sharing! It's wonderful to be able to play peek-a-boo without bothering them.

I can't view the web cam. My computer won't let me install.

Hmmm, Dewey. Some blocker perhaps?

How do I unblock?

dewey - it's an ActiveX control in order to activate the AXIS 2415 Video Server (cam). You should get a bar at top asking permission to install or no, when
you click on Ev's link at beginning of thread.
Mama Osprey just got off eggs to check them out - and is now back keeping them warm. This is awesome! Try googling... ~ a popsicle smile reaps what it sows ~ |

Thanks, Realist. I just saw this.
Was there a third egg in the clutch? It's hard to tell whether it's the mama or the papa much of the time. I think Mama right now. These creatures are really pretty egalitarian mates. Heheheh |

Ev - only TWO eggs, plain as day - pretty colors, also.

Phooey. Someone thought there was a third. Hoping for more soon. She's having herself a fine sushi snack at the moment.

I hope the schools use things like this as a learning tool. My young grandkids are full of wonder, questions, and insights when watching it.
Be prepared to get attached! It's such a close window on nature. Have a box of tissues ready when they fledge, too! LOL |

Already joined at the hip...and I will need my trusty box of kleenex, believe me! Do you know the approximate hatching date, Ev?

I believe incubation is about 30 days give or take a few and last year they fledged about 7 weeks later if I remember correctly. The CT Audubon site gives
history and details, however. We'll be well informed! LOL I'm hoping for more eggs, too. It would be tragic not to have any hatch. Last year 2 of the 4
didn't hatch. So if all they have is two this year, that could be a real crapshoot. I'd be a mess if they had no offspring.....how heartbreaking after
all their loving attention.
