Toss it and get out a new stick, Beach. That's what I'd do.

You do that too? I do that with any meat after three days.

Wasting food is right up there on my list of can't do's .... I'm sure it has something to do with starving kids in China ....
Easy answer ..... just don't use butter ... there is nothing good about it anyway .... |

How about the way it tastes?

Isn't "butter" used as a relatively generic term these days?
My "butter" consists of Smart Balance Light tub margarine or the spray form. I still call it "butter," though. |

I call that "margarine" or "fake butter."

Pick out all the crumnbs and jam you can then gently melt the butter and keep it on the stove on a very low heat so as not to burn it, but that should kill any
possible bacteria introduced. Then us it in cooking or on so.

"While Smart Balance may be better than most margarine - if you adhere to the specified "balance" of fats in the rest of your diet - my views
about margarine remain unchanged. It is still fat, mostly unhealthy fat, and a highly processed food." Andrew Weil, MD
and personally, to me, anything other than real butter tastes like lard with chemicals added..

with very few exceptions, butter is far healthier than margarines. Personally, I can't stand the taste of margarine (or the texture). Ugh. And not all
butters are the same either. I love Katie's with sea salt myself.

I get Kate's (not Katie's) at Shaw's or S&S.

Butter! | ||

I've been using Land O Lakes tub of buttery spread for some time as I thought it tasted most like real butter and during that time have had such issues
with my digestive system. Well, my doctor advised me to go a low fat, all natural diet and work foods back into my system gradually, which I did. Would you
believe that once I introduced the artificial butter substitutes back into my diet my stomach was a mess again.........So, needless to say, I now use only the
"real" thing. Real butter is much better for you. Another thing I'd like to mention is the subject of potato chips. Read the back of the bags
sometime. Lays, Utz and Cape Cods all have only pototoes, salt and canola or sunflower oil while most of the others are loaded with chemicals, especially the
low-fat ones. People think that if the package states low-fat it must be better for you. WRONG!!! Cheezits, which happen to be one of my summer favorites
(especially at the beach) is about as bad as having a cigarette. They're bound to kill you. There are ingredients in those that I can't even
pronounce.
